Estate Fence Adapter

Adapter for installing Estate Fence posts. Traditional Estate Fencing achieves a timeless look to country houses, parklands and, more recently, new home estates. 

This fencing is a flat steel bar, requiring accurate installation to achieve the beautiful result expected of the finished fence. This adapter provides a guide to enable this. 

Typically Estate Fence posts range from 46x6mm up to 56x14mm
Upon placing your order we will request the dimensions of your posts, so that we can make the adapter just the right size. This is included within the price.

For use on the Classic35 and Classic 50 models.

Use a 6mm hex key to unscrew the 8 bolts & locking washers. Slide the current tube off the base of the Post Driver. Slide the new Adapter into its place and attach using the same bolts and washers. Remember to use a Locking Compound on the screw threads to stop them vibrating out.

To get the most effective use from the Post Driver, the Adapter size must be a snug fit for your Posts. We recommend the Adapter must be no more than 5-10mm larger than your Post. For shaped posts; squares / t-shapes etc the outer corners need to be within this capacity.

The maximum size post that can be driven in is 4” (100mm) diameter. Our largest adapter is 107mm internal diameter. When the ground is very dry, compacted or stony, you will need to make a pilot hole for posts larger than 78mm. This can be either by hand using a Pilot-Bar, or mechanically using the Pilot Core Tool. Posts smaller than 78mm should not need a pilot hole. Ground conditions of Clay or Chalk may also require this method.
